8-9 weeks after Whipple.

It seems the Doctors run into false alarms enough that they don't want to jump the gun. In my case my blood work was definitive because one panel was 2500 and suppose to be a few hundred so that triggered my endoscopic procedure which identified a racquetball size malignent tumor near and slightly invading my pancreas which was why they quickly did the Whipple.

I'm nearly 9 weeks out from when my surgery was done and my stomach is finnally getting back to normal. I do take pancreatic enzymes before I eat. Ive gained maybe 3-4 pounds back from the 30 I lost which they claim is good. Maintaining is the goal during chemo. I'll be getting a scan wirhin a month to see if I'm clear. My current chemo plan is called sandwich therapy. It last about 7 months. Hope this info helps. I'm on gemzar and have been feeling pretty good all things considered.
