I had to try Gabapentin and Amitriptyline (both of which I could not tolerate ) before I could be prescribed with Lyrica.

I have had no side effects from Lyrica ( it has a different delivery system from the other two.)

Lyrica has certainly helped my chronic trigeminal neuralgia.

Nerve pain is different, depending on the cause, but if your doctor has prescribed Lyrica for your pain, I would not worry about taking it.

Hi there just seen your post. I have been taking amitriptyline and lyrica ( pregabalin) since 2013 for nerve pain since I had a prolapse surgury back in 2012. Ime still taking them now for life as we know nerve pain never stops not in my experience anyway. Have been fobbed off at the chemist with different brands which didn't work. Had to eventually ask my dr for lyrica as no other brands did anything for my pain.

gabapentin works but coming of it may couse depressionession which i found out about I tryed to cut it down to the point of coming of it but didn't realise iI was having mood swings got to the point iI just wanted walk away from all iI love then started to go back on them and came back to myself iI would suggest stay away from them nasty tablets
