boils
Hi Junny123, are you diabetic?
I am, and I only get boils when I eat any excess sugars or any processed sugars.
Glucose-fructose syrup is my main enemy, not so much glucose syrup, corn syrup and dextrose are the other two. If I eat any foods with those sugars in them, within 12 hours I will develop bad boils that can be infectious quite quickly if I don't keep on top of them.
Sometimes it can happen if you are lying on the same area too much or even if you don't get to wash as much as you normally would, if you've been unwell for example.

I had a painful area on my back with a sore. It turned out to be an abscess. If this is what you have - keep an eye on your temperature and try and get to see a District Nurse of doctor to check it over.
If you are getting signifajt pain I think you do need it checking out. An abscess can be an emergency situation -so worth finding out what it is and what they can do for you.
