Hi friends.. this Coronavirus story is just getting worse by the day! I pray for all those affected.

We were having a debate about catching it n who is more likely to etc.

One of us mentioned a person who doesn’t work or even go out much and has bin at home for weeks chilling gets a cold n all the symptoms of the CORO but it isn’t possible to get it cos they haven’t been outdoors!! Some of us said it can happen anyway and some getting frustrated during the debate. Thank god lunch was over after. What would people here say to that??

Stop freaking out it’s sometimes all in your head because of the placebo affect and everyone should chill. They r coming up with cures and all laboratories around the world and dr are coming up with cures. Bytw the corona virus has been around since the 60s first case it just didn’t go this epidemic as they expected. So chill. So far as they know it mainly affects elderly and people with bad immune systems.

So my recommendation. Eat your fruits and vegetables and clean them well. Wash your hands well. Don’t touch people that haven’t washer their hands or vise versa. If you get coughed on by accident go immediately to the bathroom and wash your face and hands with soap and warm water. Take some emergency-c and multivitamin. If you feel cold or sick go to the dr but take cold medication over the counter.

Nobody was ‘ freaking out’ as you put it.

Actually yes, Corona viruses have been around for a long time but COVID-19 is a new strain so there is no known immunity and no confirmed understanding of how it will behave.

Firstly you said a person who doesn't go out much. Then you said doesn't go out at all.

Which is it? And where did they catch their cold fromm

I said a person who doesn’t go out much or a person who doesn’t work. As an example not anybody who I know has got it. I hope your reply wasn’t rude

Nope would never be rude to anyone.

This was your second part.... but it isn’t possible to get it cos they haven’t been outdoors!!

If you or anyone you know has it, stay home. monitor symptoms. perhaps use a tracking app to make sure symptoms aren't getting worse. careclinic.io as an example. I also advise, keeping distance of 1m from strangers. Be safe all.

Even if you stay at home you can still get it through other people coming to your home. It’s just less likely if you are careful. Problem with this virus is you can be a carrier for anything between 4 days and 3 weeks. Italy was too relaxed in taking the proper precautions on time and now thousands have it but at least it’s a complete clampdown there now. UK is now equally relaxed with the government seemingly caring more for the economy than the people right now. Panicking is not right but being overly relaxed is not either. Just be vigilant and try and avoid crowded places seems the right thing to do.

Thanks so much for that that reply Emma2017

Why not be cautious, this is a new mutation of the corona virus. If you are old like i am, stay away from grandkids, kids, people in general, anyone could be a carrier. Do the parks, walk in fresh air, wait till all is over, may be a long time. The people who take this lightly are the ones who will spread the disease just thru socializing at a time when they should not.

Stop panicking and praying. It’s flu, a nasty strain of flu granted but it’s still flu. How many people die of flu every year? There’s far more than you think. Scientists are working flat out for some kind of cure/ preventive vaccine. If you get it and you have no underlying problems then you’ve little to worry about. Flu is always nasty and many say they’ve got flu when all they’ve got is a bad cold. I’m stuck in doors most of the time and when I’m out I see very little of other people whereas my wife works in a tea room dealing with the public. We’re not worrying about it, if you get you get it end off. Just keep washing your hands and drink lots of fluids

Not worried about your healthy self.....but you can be infected, show no symptoms for up to two weeks, and give the virus to older weaker or immune compromised folk who may die from it....its much more contageous than regular flu and the number of infected people and those who die doubles every 24 hours here in New York. Your posted two weeks ago......changed your mind by now by all thats Happening hopefully .....

If I get it then I get it. It won’t be because I’m blasé about it. I don’t leave the house, I take every precaution but that said it can still affect me. I don’t want it to happen to me. It if it does then there’s not a lot I can do about it. Hundreds of thousands die every year from flu, usually those with COPD or other underlying conditions but bugger all is said about those many hundreds of thousands.

Hopefully I won’t pass it on as I see no one and don’t leave the house but I realise it can happen

Thanks for sharing. If you dont leave your house and dont have people visit you doing the right thing anyway. And even the people who took this casually in the beginning are taking it seriously by now. Maybe they did not watch the news about Wuhan City, then South Korea, Italy.....within a month Corona virus affects the whole world. Please stay safe!
