Cat urine in carpet

Hi, so we’ve got a cat that regularly peas on the carpet in the bedroom.. she’s not I’ll, she’s just lazy and we won’t replace the Cayley until she’s moved on. The room does smell but we have windows open and a ceiling fan on all of the time. For the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling really unwell, sort of flu like symptoms with general fatigue. It’s not Covid but could it be related to sleeping in this bedroom?

Hi Ben Cat Urine breaks down into Ammonia (NH3) believe it or not your symptoms could be from the Urine, exposure to NH3 can cause lungs to swell and congest, I would say having a fan on will blow it around and you will ingest more, I am Lucky with my Kitten I only had a couple of mishaps now I do not worry at all, but when I see her in the litter tray I praise her, it could be where you have your tray if its noisy, she's not lazy just confused but my advice close the door, and please try not to sleep in the room until its clear you can buy some liquid detergent that they use in O.A.P Places that removes the smell but also neutralizes the NH3 but with the Cat just be patient ... Hope that is some Help Ben Good Luck

Try putting the cat in a room with a washable floor, with a litter tray and a cat bed and see what happens.
