Hi I was wondering how do anyone cope with pain if you have gallstones in your gallbladder As I am not coping with the pain with mine
Pain in stomach : Hi I was wondering how do... - Pain Concern
Pain in stomach
gall stones won't cause pain in your stomach
You have 2 choices. Restrict types of foods which cause a flare up....bit ht and miss..or have it all removed completely
I had mine removed many years ago ad best thing I did

That's nice I keep a eye on what I eat
When I had them I thought I was having a heart attack. Sadly sometimes eating anything can cause a gallstones move. My gallbladder was full of them and the attacks were getting more frequent and causing lots of issues so I had it removed in 2015. Nothing touched the pain sadly, I just rode it out once I knew what it was
When I was in A and E with gallstone pain, the consultant said the gall bladder pain is worse than childbirth! Thankfully, after a lot of procedures to shift the stones , I had my gallbladder removed. No more pain! Amazing! I do hope you can get your gallbladder removed asap. Good luck. Annie x
I have had one giant gall stone for many many years, it was taking it's toll on my life and work, eventually I was taken in for gall bldder removal, when I was awake afterwards I was gutted as it had shown a problem with my liver, this meant I couldn't get my surgery until my liver was sorted out, unfortunately this is still on going until my liver is mended which can take years, but I will say my gall bladder is much easier now, so good luck, you need to get it done tho you'll definitely benefit if you can. One last thing there is herbal remedies and I did try one which was actually help me can't remember it's name but sure it had milk in it, well good look, let me know what happens xxx
First thing to do is reduce fat in the diet as that causes attacks amongst other things , the pain is when you eat too much of wrong foods that releases a lot of bile. There are tablets the GP can prescribe to relieve pain , but with repeated attacks the only solution is surgery. It is a minor laparoscopic op these days in day care how ever if the bile duct is blocked or damaged it can mean open surgery is necessary. I had major surgery to remove mine over thirty years ago ,no trouble since. But have to admit it took around 12months to get back to my old self. Best wishes if you have to have an op , you may have to go on an almost fat free diet prior though as you can't have the op if your gallbladder is inflamed you have to be pretty well .
Bile which is stored in the gall bladder is very important to digestion. It can become sludgy and produce stones. I always used lecithin during an attack which helps emulsify the sludge. I listened to a talk by Dr. Eric Berg and he suggests using Tudka for the problem. I still have my gall bladder although I had a period of time when everyone thought it should be removed. I even thought about a gall bladder flush but didn't like the idea of drinking olive oil, ugh. Sometimes eggs can be an issue and try to avoid heavy fats which I think are the predominate cause of attacks.
