Has anyone had anothing similar, and able to shed any light on it?
I still have pain in my fingers on both hands - (ring and little finger mainly) after several months. The middle joint is painful to touch on my ring finger.
I also now have a burning pain in my right forearm. I have tried previous suggestions, heat, rest, ice etc with no joy.
My GP thinks it is from exercise, I do aerial hoop when my body holds up. However, I am still in pain and have not done it recently due to my back also giving up the ghost again.
I am in agony from my back and endometriosis. The constant pain is making me utterly miserable. It also makes me wonder what else is up with me - I have endo, PCOS, DDD, and lymphocytic colitis.

It sounds like you need a referral to rheumatology. There are over 200 different types of arthritis and it could be that you have one of them. Sometimes GPs are reluctant to refer women because they think that we are just moaning about nothing, so you may have to press for a referral. It took me about 6 appointments with two different GPs, then the first rheumatologist dismissed my symptoms (cost him a formal complaint!) before a second rheumy diagnosed psoriatic arthritis. It was mainly my fingers and back that was causing the problems too.
Good luck, I hope you can find someone to listen to you.
Thanks for your response. I honestly have lost count of the battles I have had with doctors 😔. My stage 4 endo was period pain and my severely herniated disc and compressed nerve was muscular pain. The best was when I had a haemorrhage following surgery, which required life saving surgery and multiple blood transfusions. I was told what I felt like was normal, which I knew it wasn't...they literally nearly cost me my life.
I will try to push them for answers. I am having overdue blood tests on Friday.
Did you feel tired with yours, my fatigue has gone up a level of late?
Yes, definitely started to feel more and more tired. Every time they tried me on a drug the fog of fatigue lifted. Unfortunately my stomach and digestive system doesn't like the drugs they have tired so far. Again, there are loads of different ones and everyone's immune system is different, so it is a matter of keeping trying.
Just one thing to keep in mind, sometimes nothing out of the ordinary shows up in blood tests. My inflammation markers are fairly low, and I am negative for rheumatoid factor. Easy to dismiss women with 'everything's normal' when we know that things are not normal.
Sounds like the affected nerves running down from shoulder/upper arm to elbow and wrist/carpal band. Suggest you get to a Bowen therapist who understands it, and best if they are also qualified in the more advanced NST. Ask me more if u like, but I gotta run right now! Best of luck..... TimbowPSP
Perhaps ask for a referral to a physiotherapist who might be able to identify the cause of your pain which may be nerve related
I’ve benefitted from B12 injections for neuropathic pain as this helps ameliorate the issues I have from trauma related spinal nerve damage. I had severe sciatica & paresthesis (burning pain) in my feet which then started to affect my hands. GP put that & several other issues down to FM which is rather a lazy catch all diagnosis. I seem to be less achey elsewhere since I started daily hydroxocobalamin injections. I’m currently trialing alternate sublingual methylcobalamin with injections to see if this works as well though I didn’t experience as much pain relief with this alone. Important to ensure your folate levels are high should you try B12.
Thanks for your response. I take B12 (I'm vegan), and my levels are in the normal range. I am under the physio for my back, but will ask re my hands/arm too.
I was a Bowen therapist till retired recently. So may help to locate good person, if u say your area/ town? I think we are looking mainly at the radial nerve which also affects the two last fingers. T
