Cervical median branch block - experience stories?

Hi all, dad's new Pain Management doc offered a diagnostic treatment (Cervical Median Branch Block) for my dad's numbness + pain in the neck.

If anyone has had the procedure before, has it helped your neck pain? If so, how long? Any complications? What to look out for?
