Facet joint medial branch block

So I’m having this done today.. any advice.?? I’ve previously had the epidural pain relief and found that very good... I think I’m nervous of the unknown!

Well hopefully you will have had the procedure explained...it is done under Xray to ensure correct spots.

Only advice...don't squeeze the Nurse's hand too tightly when needle hits the spot...she only has 2

You will be fine and..if NHS can still afford it...you get a tea and sandwich after!

Bless you thanks for replying...he told me they will numb my back like they do for the epidural and they said I’ll feel the pushing..but I worry that I will flinch but I know there will bit a little bit of pain..if it works they’re gonna in a couple months they’re gonna burn the nerves!

You won't flinch...that's when you squeeze Nurse's hand!!
