Does anyone else have a high heart rate 140+ after taking percocet and feeling dizzy like your going to die?

I have been taking Percocet for years 2-3 a day for several years. In the past year and now often when I take percocet my heart can race over 140 beats per minute . I had an echo and ekg and numerous other heart tests. My cardiologist said my heart was good and he has no answers for me.

I am on Fentanyl and am finding the same with it. I have been on pain meds for decades and never had this issue before. I suggest that you take your tablet in quarters at a time. Half at a time, let it settle and add as needed. Get a pill cutter. Monitor and keep track, or change breeds of the same drug. I know, I know, but when you need it there is no one out there that know what we are going through. I can't control the input on a patch so I am bugga'ed and can't get a doctor to put me back on Percocet or anything else. Keep us posted. I am interested in what you find. Also, maybe try a lower dose twice as often apposed to the higher dose once. When I was on Percocet I found I functioned better with a little a lot of times than a lot a little time. Just me. Still the same dose, just not ozoned all the time.

Kindest Regards

Do you have thyroid problems? If so its possible the pain medication is reacting with your thyroid/medication and causing palpitations.

I do not have any thyroid problems or anything else for that matter. My cardiologist does not believe it's serotonin syndrome or tdp. He just doesn't have any answers. The only thing I know is it started happening after I took the covid vaccines. He has tested for all the possible side effects of the covid vaccines he doesn't believe it's from that but can't rule it out.

oh the covid vaccine yes I actually read something about palpitations and elevated HR reported in people who had vaccine…. Don’t hold me to this info Im sure its more complicated and have you tried researching this issue?

Doctors can’t test for covid vaccine related issues since its a new vaccine with no proper testing…. Years down the road the list of issues will grow and still the medical community won’t accept covid vaccine as possible cause.

I had Covid late last year and my Heart Rate soared everyday for 3 weeks 100+ bpm lost 14 pounds.

My cardiologist doesn't have answers as taking 2 percocet 5 mg aday should not be a problem and never was before. But If I take them now my heart goes from 85 bpm up to 160 bpm in less then a minute and feels like I'm about to die.
