Trying to pee when in pain.

Bit of a strange question but for those who live with chronic pain do you have trouble with trying to pee when you have a really bad pain day? I struggle to I suppose relax to be able to stand pee when I’m having a bad pain day. I’ve tried sitting but it doesn’t help.

I'm in a lot of pain at the mo from Rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and yes it takes me a while to 'let go'. Probably worth mentioning to a doc though as it can be a nerve problem. Good luck. (Female)

Yes I have the same problem. I run the cold tap and try to relax my muscles and at the same time Itry to imagine the pee working it's way down and out of me. I also think you should discuss this with your GP in case there is an underlying cause for it. Good luck DonutEater.

Just a thought here. If you are taking pain killers for your pain, they have a tendency to deaden all nerves in the body and may have an effect on your pee sphincters.
