trying to get help with pains

Not sure where I need to post this but just trying to find help/advice

For the last year now I’ve had a constant pain in my left side, it’s usually upper left back and chest going to arm pit and down to my little finger. I’ve had ecg which been told is all fine and just given painkillers and that’s about it. This does seem worse at night and get more acid reflux

As well as this I also get a blurry vision / dry eye , heavy head/face, feel like might pass out sometimes but not any help for this, this is usually worse at night aswell, which has had an impact in my daily life, driving ability etc

just don’t know what to do now!

I’ve tried to speak to the gp but they are fairly uninterested now, had a ecg earlier in the year for ‘reassurance against panic attack’ which annoying wasn’t the reason why was having it and was cut from 72 to 24hr. But since then it’s pretty much drs saying just deal with the pain don’t wanna do any further tests 😢

You could ask the G/p to have a scan privately

Good luck

What does the pain feel like? Tingling? Burning? Cutting? Throbbing?

Have you had your shoulder and back examined by a physiotherapist?

I think you should get checked for MS. Blurry eyes is a symptom doctors often overlook.

You need to see another doctor. You’re being gas lighted.

thanks for the reply!

I’d say it’s like a sharp pain more for chest area with shoulder/arm/back is more throb/ache 🤔 gets generally worse at night overall

Only had the ecg for the ‘panic attack’, I’d say the drs haven’t been that helpful, ecg was fine, did try a neurology option as was mentioned but that was reject by neurology dept and that’s about it, said nothing really more to look into, monitor it and if it gets any worse get back in touch.

the blurry vision/sore eyes/lightheaded has def and a impact on day to day things aswell… it’d be nice to get back to a little normal and independence and also not have these daily pains… accepting really at this point probably need to go down a private route just not sure what/where to go that might help at this point

I’d see a neurologist and cardiologist asap. Go private.

Keep me posted. Long term uncontrolled pain is not good for our brain and our Sympathetic Nervous System. Good luck.
