I think I have asked this question before . I have a chronic burning aching discomfort in my scalp and head on both sides . It is incredibly uncomfortable and distressing . It means I can’t feel pleasure from anything I do including sex.
I am in constant pain and achyness . It is making my life a waking nightmare as it affects everything I do . I have been referred for a brain scan and hopefully that will give some answers as to what’s causing the burning achy feeling. Everyday I wake up and my scalp and head is hot to the touch and sore

I cannot have a physical relationship with someone as my head aches every time I am touched . This means sex and intimacy is impossible . I feel I will never be able to have a partner again because of the discomfort
You have posted about this before, you can see previous posts in your profile. I'm sorry but you really need to be asking the professional medics for help, we're just fellow-sufferers. I see you have spoken to your GP and got put on a low dosage pain killer, someone suggested you could ask for a higher dose but I don't think you've said whether you tried that or not. I understand this condition is so distressing, it must be difficult to think clearly, but I'll repeat, because it's important: seek professional help, and if you have but you're not getting it, you must keep trying. Good luck!
So after a few doctors visits, as his head was red and angry looking, scalp was hot to the touch and skin did look like it was starting to flake.
The doctor tried some cream, I think steroid cream and for the first week as it ‘dryer out’ Dad’s description not mine, the doctor had warned him about it.
It kinda scared over in places, but started getting better. He had to do this for two weeks only and dispose of the rest of the cream afterwards.
Doctor was quite specific about that. However three weeks down the line it is much better and ‘normal’ now.
Not sure if this will help, but I thought it worth mentioning.
Hi I have been prescribed pregabalin 25 mg and referred for a brain scan . Hopefully the brain scan will show if there’s a physical cause for the ache . I can also feel this build up of pressure in my cheeks and behind my eye socket which is uncomfortable
