Hi everyone hope you are well today. Well latest mri scan still showing scar tissue wrapping around sciatic nerve and sacrum 1 popping in and out. No surgeon will go near me unless I'm in the cauda equine syndrome again it's just not fair. Told basically you need to live with it and try keep mobile that's easier said than done

Hi, not sure if this has been mentioned to you but I had a lot of success with a spinal cord stimulator. You may not be suitable for the version with leads but the version with paddles may be available. I was referred via pain management. Not every neurosurgeon fits them. I’m in no way medically trained and this is only a form of pain relief but it really does help a lot of people.
Hi sunlover56 thanks for th reply. I was offered that a few years ago but my uncle had a bad experience and it put me off. I'm just so tired fighting pain for over 30 years. Hope you are well today
Oh, that’s a shame it put you off. I’m hopefully going for my second one as the first one failed. This time I’m going for paddles as I now have too much scar tissue for leads. It made my life so much better when I had one. I’m in pain so much without one and can no longer work, drive or walk far without it. For me it was a huge success. I’m not good at the moment and in constant pain like you, I totally understand where you’re coming from, it really does wear you down. Take care and keep smiling through your pain xx
Thankyou very much for getting back to me
I've replied to several back pain issues this morning. I have had the RFA procedure done and it's working well for me. It's Radio Frequency Ablation. My pain management doctor is an anesthesiologist and she has done the L4-L5 nerves and now I'm in the process of having the L4-L3 region done. She uses electrical probes and puts them near the affected nerves and a machine sends electrical pules that basically deaden the nerves and it's supposed to last 9 months.
