I see that you are a new member so welcome. I don’t know what your expectations are of this group but we are people who all have different pain issues. We try to support each other with advice and guidance through our own experiences. We are also a safe place to vent when we are unhappy about situations.

As a result we are not a group of medics, pharmacists or anything else in that line. It is highly doubtful we know why you can’t obtain soluble cocodamal. I assume you have asked the pharmacists at the shops you have visited. I would have thought they would know the answer to your question? Is this drug available soluble? Have you had it previously? Is so I can only think there is an issue from the manufacture end. This does happen periodically with many drugs and is very annoying if it is a prescribed medicine. Usually the pharmacist can suggest an alternative and when it has happened to me, I have gone with that information to my gp surgery to ask for new/replacement medication to be supplied whilst manufacturing issues continue.

Certainly the soluble ones have been available but..... there may well be a problem with manufacturing and/or transportation

Best person to ask is your pharmacist

Hello Johnbrown68, welcome to the group. The drugs you are looking for could possibly be got from your GP. As codiene is no longer available only with prescription and cocodamol contains codiene maybe they have been phased out now but I would have expected the chemist to know this. If the normal ones can still be bought over the counter why not the disolvable ones? Sometimes ones you can't get in a chemist can be bought on line so worth a try . But I think GP is best & safest option.
