I’ve had this pain in my left breast for nearly 2 months now… I had ECGS, x-rays, doctor felt my chest for lumps and nothing. It gets worse and sharp when breathing in and hurts the worst when I wake up and subsides throughout the day. The doctors said it could be costochondritis but they’re not 100%. Anyone else had this experience?

Hi there. Yes. Had it for years. Doc still referring me for chest X-ray and breast specialist to recheck. I find tho that mine is worse of a night time. They say to lie on ur left side to ease pain. I take amitrypilene when it’s bad. It’s horrible. Altho it’s the chest wall; sternum pain. U do feel like it’s your breasts but it just radiates to them. Definitely worth checking it all out tho. To b sure. I also had an ultrasound some years ago in the breast clinic and it showed inflammation.
I’m glad at least I’m not alone, I was losing my mind! I got a referral to a breast clinic yesterday-what did your appointment look like? Was it just a mammogram or did they do anything else?
It was just like a normal breast examination. No mammogram just an ultrasound. It was v good as get results straight away. Just don’t let doctors fob u off with pain killers unless u get a proper diagnosis. Let me know how it goes 👍🏻
