Pain relief
Hi sorry to here your in so much pain. Something many of us know all to well.I've been in chronic pain since 1984 so have tried most things.
Don't forget painkillers are only one part.
Doing the right exercises helps both body and mind. So if you get the chance talk to your doctor and a physiotherapist. I found a simple and effective on all fours and leaning back to stretch my back a good one. But check with your specialist first. It depends on the condition of your back,
As for painkillers. Plenty to choose from, gabapentin is a pretty good one, unfortuanlty it doesn't suit me. Tramadol very good if your doctor will give it to you. Oramorph get you going in the morning good for fast relief. I use Co-codamol as a floater to be taken only on the worst days . You have to be careful with addiction, keep control of you pain management. All pain medication looses its effectiveness as you get used to it , so there is always a temptation to keep taking more.
Alternative pain management TENS machine and CBD oil are worth trying . See what suits you, try different things, it give you something to do if nothing else.
Hope this helps
Hi, I have found Gabapentin to be very effective, I am on the full dose of 12 a day and have been for ten years. In the first few weeks some medications give you side effects, this one gave me dizziness but if you stick with it, it does wear off and disappears.
Hi sorry for your pain .I have chronic pain for life but do take 600mg pregabalin a dayAnd amitriptyline 75mg a day at night this seems to help
Hello, I take 600mg Pregablin daily, Tramadol with paracetamol, and Methocarbamol all prescribed by Consultant at the pain clinic. They are all effective. Take care and happy Christmas to you. 🎄
