I am sorry your in so much pain Lilly . As you probably know back pain is very common . You need a combination of rest and gentle exercise. Put some warmth on it . Hot water bottle or other heating device. You must have moved awkwardly or strained it somehow. Think back to what you’ve been doing . Maybe a draught has got into it . If it doesn’t feel better with in 48 hours contact your GP 👩‍⚕️

If it’s that bad & worrying you go to A&E

If it is a new pain and you don't know what is causing it - it needs investigating - so either A&E if you feel it's an emergency or ask your GP to refer you on for tests. Other than that, try to rest, keep warm, and do take care.

Hi Lilly...I suffer from backpack too and it literally came out of nowhere..now I suffer from severe back spasms and found out that I have lower lumbar spondylitis and a curvature in my spine...I think you should get your doc to refer you for mri and find out exactly what's going on...unfortunately I haven't found anything that helps yet...but fingers crossed they can find out what's going on and get you treated...its not easy living with pain so I hope you don't have too for to long ...Good luck x

Hi I had a hip replacement last September. Felt much better after I got rid of arthritic hip. Well about 6 months lawyer had pain in my back. Thought maybe hip. No it’s my back. MRI showed spinal stenosis and lumbar Spondylosis. Only an MRI will show what is wrong. My back is full of arthritis too. Never had pains in my back til now. Fortunately physical therapy and and epidural injection worked for me. After physical therapy apply ICE. HEAT before exercise then ice. It has helped me. Hope you find out your problem and feel better. I’m from USA 🇺🇸
