Sorry to hear about your headache issues, like you I suffered with horrible headaches, but it took many years before they were diagnosed, and many treatments, and of course having a scan was required to rule out anything sinister, these would often wake me up in the early hours of the morning, and occasionally I would have 2 bouts in a day, but mainly while I was asleep, eventually I was diagnosed with cluster headaches, and they are one of the worst pains known to mankind, as for other health issues I have B12 problems which leaves me tired, and need 3 monthly injections to try to help and occasionally need folic acid tablets, the symptoms these cause are pins and needles in the feet, legs and hands, poor memory, or concentration, tinnitus, and muscle twitching, these are just a few symptoms lack of B12 deficiency can cause depression, and you can also have a poor bowel movement's, so even though we all compare our complaints, it's always advisable to stay with your doctor and seek medical advice at all times, best of luck 👍😇

Well if you're suffering, and a simple blood test will pick this up, but my sympathy is with on your health conditions, I wish you well in the future, kind regards 😊

All my blood test came back fine apart from a eos one high which was a white blood cell so drs are scratching there heads 😷

Maybe further enquiries or tests are then needed to find out whats causing these markers on this particular type of blood results, and narrow down to get to the bottom of your symptoms, hopefully this is now going forward for you, I wish you well 🙂

Yep, I also have to get B12 injections as I has gastric bypass in 2009 but at the time I do not remember any advice relating to problems with B12. I am also diabetic T3c directly linked to chronic severe pancreatitis. Unf. The diabetic metformin depletes B12 which is a nightmare to live with esp as no medical help when I raise these issues. Ive stopped asking now though, pick my battles as energy levels are quickly drained.

Hi. This could have been written by me 😳 I have exactly the same symptoms and have lots of cross over invisible disabilities....I am hopeful for some good advice to your post. I generally rely on strength from my Faith. I do not know how I would cope without it.

I'm much in the same boat about this B12 deficiency problem,i don't really have a great deal of information about it, the pernicious anaemia forum has probably the best options to gather more information all I know is the symptoms, and how they can affect your daily lifestyle , and yes various conditions, medication can bring on this problem, I'm sorry I can't help you any further but hopefully the PA pages will show you plenty more information, good luck 😉

Hi Di01 I had symptoms very similar to yours which came to a climax two years ago. I am now on the up and up again thanks to a number of changes I made to my lifestyle. I had to study myself in great detail to work out what was wrong. My GP suggested it was fybromyalgia which was quite possibly correct, but on top of that I was certainly very fatigued -not tired, tiredness is quite different to fatigue- from working silly hours and a number of personal situations which had all left me feeling completely burnt out. I also had a week long exposure to black mould in my home during renovation works, caught covid twice and injured my back quite seriously during this period. All of which contributed and had an effect on my health.

It's difficult to know where to start in diagnosing the root cause of your issues, but discussing them with your GP should definitely be your first port of call. There will be a number of things they can rule in or out with blood tests etc. Also ask for a referral to a local NHS Chronic Fatigue service and request a referral for a sleep study if symptoms persist.

I had to literally go into almost every detail of my life in order to get on top of my fatigue and find the root cause/s of my pain and illness but it was soooooo worth doing. Stay positive and make the changes your body is telling you to make. Your symptoms and pain are ways your body is trying to tell you something, so possibly you simply need to learn to listen.

I suggest you start by keeping a daily pain and symptoms diary which you can refer to.

In it you should record:

Everything you eat and drink.

Your alcohol, nicotine and any other drug and medication consumption.

Your activity and inactivity levels including times and durations.

Details of your sleep, ie the time you went to bed, time you fell asleep, time you woke up, number of times you got up in the night or were disturbed in your sleep.

List any exposures to allergens and other pollutants.

Literally record as many details of your day to day life as you possibly can for now. You don't know what exactly might be relevant to your overall health at the moment, no matter how small or irrelevant you might think something is right now it may prove otherwise later.

Think allergies, air quality diet etc.

Your body is a system with a number of sub systems within it that all have a direct influence on your overall health. So you need to look at it holistically.

Being proactive about your health and well being and trying to remain positive are both very important.

There is a root cause or causes for everything you are feeling, you simply need to work out what it is/they are and change what you do or do not do accordingly. You do that by changing and ticking off one thing at a time until something you do makes a difference to how you are feeling. Too many changes all at once only serve to confuse. So take it one day and one thing at a time.

You MAY need to:

Change your diet

-I now eat a mostly plant based anti inflammatory diet with no meat, no dairy, no gluten-

Drink less alcohol/more water.

-Hydration is the most important thing you must look after. If your pee is clear or light yellow you're adequately hydrated. Darker yellow or brown pee means you are dehydrated which has a massive effect on how you feel. Feeling thirsty only means you are already into dehydration, so drink water all day, on top of your normal beverages. Don't wait to feel thirsty

Change your working practices or even change jobs to be less taxing on your system-

Re-decorate your home

A new, clean home environment promotes good health.

The above are just a small selection of some of the things which could be causing you to feel less than optimum. Do your research and above all don't lose hope.

Hope you are soon feeling much better.

Kind regards,
