Hello. Have not posted for some time and this is not pain but cannot find a way of asking if anyone is having the same problem with AstraZeneca vaccine. I had it four weeks ago and developed red arm and pain on injection site. Prescribed antibiotics which worked. Finished course this Monday since when I have had stomach ache, diarrhoea and am very tired. Any thoughts please
Vaccination question: Hello. Have not posted... - Pain Concern
Vaccination question
Possibly caused by the antibiotics rather than the vaccine, best to call your GP again.
Thank you bantam. My husband thinks I should phone g p too. So maybe give it another day. I can’t seem to find an NHS site which gives more detail about the bad reactions.
Hi - it is worth flagging any side effects on the MHRA Yellow card site too?
yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/n the MHRA Yellow Card site:
There may be something in terms of follow up?
Hopefully the benefits outweigh the side effects for you! I’ve had the Pfizer jab and no side effects bar a sore arm for 24 hours so feeling v fortunate!
Think my sister had this vaccine , think it’s the Oxford one. She has been poorly for a week and as you describe very very tired. I’m still waiting for the vaccine.Hope your well soon.
Hi Well .I would be thinking side effects to your antibiotics.
Certainly I have suffered re diarrhoea.
Money was antibiotics.
The other could be after effects of the injection .
If your concerned I think phone up your GP .
Hi Daisy2408My husband had the Astrazeneca, he has been poorely and very tired and had pain on his chest as Rabbits65 described. I did ask the question about the vaccine is there any side effect that i should know and i had the reply it is same like when you have a flu jab. I can tell you the side effect on Astrazeneca vaccine for my husband worst than the flu jab. what about when he will have the second vaccine!. i will need for the vaccine soon but what about if I am not well i can look after him!
I am sorry to hear your husband is reacting so badly. Since I posted a few days ago I have started to feel a great deal better so I hope you can take heart from that. Although we have heard of bad reactions on the site there must be millions, including many people I know of myself, who have sailed through it no problem at all so fingers crossed that will be your experience. All good wishes.
Hello Daisy2408,I saw the bad reaction make me scare when it comes to myself for the vaccine. Hope it will be all good for me .
Hello Kiwi, had my vaccine yesterday and didn't feel a thing. No side effects, no sore arm, nothing. Hope this reassures you. Take care.
