I have suffered from debilitating chronic pain for almost 15 years (about half of my life) and have seen dozens and dozens of doctors in that time. I have had surgeries, fusions, infusions, metal implanted and removed. It's been brutal.
My mother suggested this place, however I am not sure of its credentials (at this point I feel like my decision making is just off). I'm willing to throw the dice and see, but money is a constant issue.
Can anyone offer any insight into this program/practice?
I have no special knowledge but my impression after looking at their website is it's not an actual scam but they offer a lot of probably quite expensive treatments that might or might not help you. It's not a good sign that no prices are displayed on the site, that probably means they're on the high side. But I'm wondering about your condition. Metal implants are not a pain treatment as far as I know. I had one myself but that was for a broken leg, long before I got chronic pain. Is it possible you're lumping a few different conditions together there? What are your current symptoms?
My symptoms are pain, I've had it for 13 years. And I'm exhausted. And desperate. No, the metal was not to treat the pain but the stress fractures the doctors were believing was causing the pain.
I've been to many many doctors and unfortunately haven't been able to get a diagnosis that has been able to offer any insight in how to treat the pain. And it's been going on for so long now the clues are all scattered and it just feels very hopeless.
But thanks for your reply. I think I will not go this route. As desperate as I am now. I'm also exhausted. And I know if I were to spend the amount of money they ask for and then not have improvements it would be devastating.
That sounds truly terrible. Not saying it's necessarily the answer for you but I and many others with unexplained pain have benefitted greatly from the approach you can learn about here: tmswiki.org/forum/ (I had a diagnosis but it was a "syndrome" so not really an explanation.) Hope you get some kind of benefit somewhere anyway...
After the collision which brought me into the world of un-remitting pain I had a couple of sessions with a formally trained acupunturist. She was an expert at her skill and she was honest enough to say that there was nothing she could do about my injuries after our first session. But I revisited her and was treated for the shock that the collision had given me. I was enabled to cry, not easy for a motorcycling bricklayer to achieve, and I felt centered and capable to deal with my new life.
Look at Curable it's an American based pain education site that offers group coaching and help with people with chronic pain and also online help. Also look at Facebook page called tell me about your pain who teach mind body Processes to help people recover from chronic pain it's really interesting.
