Towards the end of last week following eating fatty foods and drinking prosecco I had what I think was my first gall bladder flare up. It settled and the same thing happened a couple of days later. My Dr has made me an appointment to check the liver function and an ultra sound too. She agreed that it sounded like the gall bladder. However since then I have had a niggling ache in my side - I can't really feel it unless I am moving or breathing very deeply. It feels a little bit like a stitch it even a strained muscle. Dr Google has not helped me at all and now I'm convinced I have all manner of other issues going on. Health anxiety is another major issue for me. Does anyone have lingering pains in this part of the body that can reassure me. Thanks.

Right upper abdomen lingering pain
I remember having something like this after eating fatty food and it was pancreatic pain.
Gall bladder pain is the most excruciating pain ever, it can feel like indigestion to start with but just get progressively worse going from the front under your rib cage right through to your back, I suffered for 9 months before my Doctor finally diagnosed it, it’s in my family, several members have had the op. Mine was so bad that attacks would last for hours, fatty foods are most definitely a cause, so if you are eating lots of fats including butter, cream and cheese then it’s likely you do have gallstones, try cutting those things from your diet, go low fat and see what happens, if the attacks reduce then you will know !!
Sounds a lot like my gall bladder pain. I had it removed 19 years ago
I have gallbladder issues. I get lingering pain. When you eat fatty foods it inflamed your gallbladder. The inflammation takes time to go down.
If you sprain an ankle and it inflamed it will take a while for the inflammation to go down. Same with a gallbladder, reduction of inflammation takes time
Your symptoms sound very similar to my wife’s IBS, she’s careful with her diet without having to consistently cut out all of the good things... She is conscious about what she eats when she starts to feel the pain and adjusts her diet accordingly.
You could try keeping a diary of when and what you eat and when the pain starts, you could also try probiotics for a month to see if they help too.
