hi. Does anyone have similar symptoms. I started feeling dull pain over a year ago on my lower back right side while swimming. It has now grown to the fact it spreads all over the back down the back of the legs and front of thighs. I have had an M.R.I scan which I was discharged afterwards and told minor compression. And nothing worth operating on. I am now on 200mg pregabalin twice a day with co-codomal. And waiting to go to pain clinic. The thing is the only time I dont feel any pain is when I am waking which I am confused about ????

Hi there Jonn9

It sounds like you're moving in the right direction towards managing your pain effectively. That is interesting that you're not feeling pain when you're waking up...I'm not sure why this might be, but I'd like to signpost you to some resources about the nature of pain and alternative pain management techniques, for your information:

painconcern.org.uk/neuropat... - This leaflet will provide you with information about Neuropathic Pain - Neuropathic pain is how we describe any of the unwanted sensations (e.g. pain, ache, tingle, itch, burn, etc.) that can be experienced following damage to nerves.

painconcern.org.uk/resource... - Here you will find some resources/podcasts about lower back pain and techniques people commonly use to manage back pain.

painconcern.org.uk/resource... - Here you will find lots of information about topics surrounding pain and pain management techniques.

I hope you find this information useful.
