Hi Mandy,

I am sorry to hear you are in pain like that. Did they give you any indication as to why you have Kyphoscoliosis? I hope the naproxin helps. Make sure you take your PPIs to protect your stomach as you don't want stomach trouble on top of everything else!

It sounds like you have 'fallen through the cracks'.

The reason why I asked is that there is something called hypermobility that can cause scoliosis. There are different types of it, but it can also cause other types of pain in your body too.

My friend says bout hyper mobility the other day I don’t really understand how it all works nobody explains it to me so I can understand I have a learning disability I tryin to contact the receptionist at the hospital for the to send me out information bout pros and con of having surgery and like recovery and that but she say I would have to wait till the appointment I am no good at retaining information so that not good for me xxx

This website might help explain hypermobility a little better:

hypermobility.org/what-are-...

Hospitals and GPs have a duty to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities so maybe you or your mum could ask if a learning disability nurse could speak to you and maybe come with you to appointments. Would that help?
