Can anyone explain to me why do I feel dizzy after getting a massage? Idk why this happens to me. Once I get up for the massage I get this weird light headed feeling that goes away slowly. Help please!

When ever you get up from a lying down position, including sleep, you should do so slowly. Sit on the side of the bed for a few minutes. Same with a massage. Your therapist should ensure you do this and you will be fine

Massage increases your circulation (blood flow), to the muscles that have been worked and released from the tension. It’s completely normal and harmless and happens to a lot of people, just always get up slow, stay seated on the edge of the table for a moment before you get up 👍

You need to be careful of contraindications like unstable blood stable blood pressure, but your massage therapist should be asking you this

Tight muscles can help compress blood vessels. Relaxing over contracted muscles will reduce the pressure on blood vessels. The blood vessels can expand. The volume of blood has not changed. The result is that blood pressure in the brain is reduced. The brain gets temporarily reduced blood supply. Hence the light headed feeling.

It takes time for the body to raise the blood pressure again.
