I have pain in my chest that feels like i have been running through cold air, yet i haven’t even been exercising at all. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Pain, but haven’t been told what at all to do about it. i don’t think this is related to my pain but i want to know why i have this weird painful sensation in my chest. i’ve had it for about 2 days now and i am struggling to cope with this. i just feel like i have run 5 miles in freezing cold morning air, yet i haven’t even been doing any exercise! i thought i might mention that i have lots of nose bleeds, too (about 20-30 per year) and am slightly overweight. i dont know if this is relevant to it but it’s better safe than sorry. if anyone can help me figure this out, it would be amazing!

Pain in chest
As I am sure you know we are not medical people and you should see your GP about this. First though, have you ever had a reason given for the large number of nose bleeds? Is your GP aware of them?
Who diagnosed the chronic pain? They really should have given you some plan to treat it or a reason you are having it.
And this sensation in your chest, is it related to breathing or the muscles around your rib cage?
You don't have to tell me the answers, but if you think about those questions before you go to see your GP it might help sort out what is going on.
HI sandyisamazing,
Can I suggest that you go to A&E and get it checked over, especially if you have also had nose bleeds and although am not a doctor these could be linked, please don't think that you are wasting their time going, this sounds genuine and needs to be resolved as a priority, this is your health at stake...
Take care
I would advise checking your serum & active b12 ,Vit C ,full blood count ,platelets, folate, ferritin, iron, magnesium,Vit D as low b12 can cause chest pain , breathless ,exhaustion .Serum b12 needs to be above 500.Not many Drs are aware of vitamin def .
Hi
I agree with everyone else on here. I was diagnosed with costochondritis which is inflammation of the breast bone. You could mention all the suggestions in here too. Write everything down before you go, I always do that. Could you also take someone with you as an advocate. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
