Gerd or esophogeal spasms could be.Changing diet can help alot n also chiropractic can help with esophogeal spasms.
I know it can be more worrying to not know what is wrong than to actually know what is causing the problem. But it is good that the doctors haven't found anything serious wrong.
There are a few things that might be causing this that aren't serious so you don't need to worry about them, one is what Hippolove suggested, that is reflux, where the acid in your stomach comes up your oesophagus. It can have different symptoms, from heartburn to muscle aches, to sore throat. Another thing could be that you have sprained or strained any of the many little muscles between the ribs, and between the ribs and the breastbone.
But often with humans, it can be a bit of everything together, one condition impacting on another. And excess worry can make all of that worse too.
Maybe you could go to your GP again and explain how you feel, and try to get to the bottom of it again, knowing that worrying about it might be making it worse.
Hi.. You haven't said where this pain actually is... can you be a bit more specific? i.e. in the middle of your ribs or at the top of your chest?
as several people have mentioned gerd etc.. i won't repeat that, but it could be to do with your diet. But am surprised they haven't sovered that with you.
As the pain is not constant, first thing I'd do is to keep a food & drink diary with times... also make a note of when then pain comes on and whether it causes you to belch..have a nasty taste in your mouth afterwards.. From that you may see a pattern emerging. Foods which are greasy, acidic, certain foods & drinks do cause more gas than others.
The other thing is do you get stressed out or anxious at times...( not about your pain. but in general? That can cause excess stomach acid. Have you been taking any medication on a regular basis for a long time or periodically.? Add that info to your daily diary...
Its just an idea, but in writing it all down, the answer might be staring you in the face.
The pain is at upper side of my chest and throat ..this chest pain has been permanently up to a year now ..whenever I stretched my chest out or bend my chest to the back ..I feel pain AGAIN
I don't use any drug at the moment.
And sometimes I feel strange pain in left side of my chest ..
It sounds like there could be more than one thing going on. There is a a couple of conditions that cause chest pain. Costochondritis or Tietzes syndrome can both of cause pain in the chest, ribs and thoracic spine. It's caused by inflammation between the breast plate and the sternum as well as the ribs. It's more common in women and can come and go. For some people lying down relieves it. Sounds like you need to find a good gp who can either help you work out what is going on (and/or reassure you it's nothing serious) and work out ways to improve or manage what ever is going on for you.
I agree with the comment above. It sounds like Costochondritis. I have it too. It’s typically caused by an auto immune disease . I would see a Rhuematologist.
My muscles btw my ribs get super tight and hurt terribly. For me I use a heating pad around my ribs to relax the muscles. Try heat and ice and see which works for you.
