Pain...panic...relax...repeat

My pain is caused by over sensitive nerves in my whole pelvis and lower spine. The pain is intense and always there but movement of any kind makes it spike to nauseating levels.

I realise that I'm not dying but that doesn't stop my mind from panicking and then I have to try and relax despite the pain.

Does anyone one have any ways they do this that I could try???

I would love any ideas no matter how wacky.

Xxx

Ask to be placed on a Pain Management course, where they teach various ways including mind over matter, to disturb the continuous patterns of pain. Your GP should be able to refer you.

Hi! It is a beast I know first hand.

Exercise helps pain receptors to shift. Finding something that works for you (however challenging) may give you some relief daily. I like to swim and even an arm bike might help at the gym. I’ve tried hoola hooping and now I bought quad roller skates as it requires pelvic support without aggravating anything. Finding something that takes your mind off and getting your body moving gives a break to the insidious cycle.

I hope it helps even a little

See a chiropractor. They can give a useful opinion that you can take to your doctor.
