Hi I am new here, I suffer complex regional pain syndrome in my right hand/arm/shoulder. I have lost the swing in that arm, with not being able to use it i have now started muscle waste on the top of my shoulder it is causing a lot of pain and discomfort. I was wondering if anyone has any tips to help ease this?
I have tried heat packs and trying to do light exercise to try to regain the muscle, I take a lot of pain medication for my CRPS but its doing nothing for the shoulder.
When I dislocated my shoulder some years ago I had to have intensive physio therapy fir months to get movement back into my arm again. I have kept up the exercises and I’ve got it better with lots of work . Good luck to you
I understand exactly what your saying , I get tenosynivitus in my joints , but I’ve learnt that some exercise is necessary to avoid the muscle wasting problem . I’m having a walk in bath installed so I can go back to a bath , showers get boring all the time. Water therapy is very soothing and with swimming pools shut it’s been a big of ashame
I can do very light exercise but depending on the crps on the day. I do a lot of walking but that doesn't help the shoulder 🤦♀️ I miss the bath and the hydrotherapy pool i feel the heated water helps a lot with pain.
Yes I agree , that’s why I’m specially having another bath put in . I could ask them to do the bubbles Hydro bit. Not sure if it’s worth the extra cash though .
Hi, I dont suffer from it, but in researches for RF treatment to my problem, I've found many articles regarding radiofrequency treatment for CRPS being successful. Maybe you could check it out. Good luck!
Tyson, look into whey protein for muscle waste and also become familiar with systemic enzymes for chronic pain and more. Also do a youtube on thiamine deficiency. Remember, thiamine needs magnesium to become bioactive. Pain causes magnesium loss. Try putting a pound of Epsom salts along with two tablespoons of baking soda in a very warm tub and soak for 20 minutes. Takes stress out of your body and helps replace magnesium. Always consult a health care professional befose using any supplement.
