Cold or what?!?!?!?!?!?

I wonder if anyone can please help at least with an idea.

It start like a normal cold in September last year, got aggravated, nose totally blocked, bad coughs with yellow things coming up, tiredness and exhaustion.

Received antibiotic twice, didn't work.

Steroids pills for 5 days 3 times , felt a bit better for 3 days , but still like I had a bad cold, then ibuprofen and paracetamol every 4 hours, then just paracetamol every 4 hours.

Nothing worked.

We are in March and I'm the same. Still coughing, nose still blocked and a general exhaustion. I have like a pain in my chest in the right side , like a stabing pain, some days hurts bad, some others is just there a bit. Also a constant headache , not very very bad, but always there.

Any ideas, help or advice , please.

Thank you in advance.

You need to go back to your doctor and get them to run some tests. There is clearly something wrong if you have a continual cold/infection. x

Agreed - something is definitely not right there - maybe take in a sample of your sputum and see if they can culture it to at least get the correct anti-biotic for it? And a referral to the respiratory consultants wouldn't go amiss after all this time! There used to be a TV advert saying if you have had a persistent cough for over 3 weeks to go get it seen to!

Go to Asthma forum. Speak to doctor about high strength vitamin D for immune system. Take Vitamin B complex. See a McTimony chiropractor. Suspect that you have some over contracted muscles which need work on. Lungs are probably not being cleared properly. Might need some postural work to release tight lungs and open up airways.

This is for you to investigate and experiment with to see if it is helpful or not.

Hi be cautious about taking vitamin supplements as too much can cause harm. Most people aren't low in vitamins so have your doctor check you out first. Also they can interact with other meds you could be on.

Any advice you get on here should be taken with caution as no one here is a professional medic. Even if there were you couldn't be diagnosed over the internet. Don't waste your money on things that might not be relevant so get a firm diagnosis. x

Firm diagnosis tend not to be possible. Where is the patient on the population curve? Vitamin D is poisonous in large dosages. This why in the UK you can only get it on prescription. It is an important Vitamin for the immune system. Vitamin B complex is also an important set Vitamins for the immune system. Vitamin B can sometimes be made by bacteria in the human gut if the right bacteria is present. However the right bacteria may not be present for one reason or another.

Much of what doctors diagnose is based on medical research done on 2 variables. Much medical research totally ignores the human body as an engineering system with feedback mechanisms and stress breakdown points. Much that effects the human body's engineering systems are effected by multiple variables. This multiple variable issue often does not figure in a medical diagnosis.

Read Rigor Mortis by Richard Haris. Google "Thomas Myers".

The correct approach is to investigate oneself using various tools rather than a snapshot set of tests which act on one point in time and these tests may not be the right ones to pick up the problem.

Good evening Sir and certainly thank you for your kind and amplous reply.

Maybe forgot to say, I had various blood tests and all come back fine.

That's why, I thought I should try myself and find out in a different way . It might be nothing , but it doesn't look/feel like. The moment i wake up i start coughing, (sometimes i have a sharp pain in my chest(right) (no necessarily when I cough), my nose is blocked all the time, if not both nostrils, one is for sure,I keep spit out some yellow flegm(sorry about this) and I'm not smoking or drinking and also can't find a good reason for all this, then definitely something is there.im also very very very tired and don't know if this relates to all the other things or not.

I gave up with doctors to be honest and I'm trying to find myself some answers. If I will, I don't know. But , thank you so much for taking the time and open my mind...and eyes....x
