Chest pain

I have been experiencing severe pain in my chest which gets worse with activity. I had a lot of stress tests and the cardiologist said it wasn’t heart related. I had open heart surgery nearly 20years ago and 2 of my heart valves were replaced and 1 repaired.

I keep going to the GP but he said not all pained can be explained so I should just leave with it and take paracetamol. I am already on waffarin for life, I don’t want to be taking paracetamol for life.

I need help finding out what’s causing the pain. It’s so painful but I recover within 2-3munutes of inactivity.

I think you need to change your doctor and try a new doctor, something isn't quite right... You could talk to a physiotherapist too.. I do know that stress and anxiety can cause pains, but with your history of replaced heart valves it sounds like you need checking up... My son had two replacement heart valves 20 years ago, he still has twice yearly check ups at the Harefield Heart hospital.

Good luck.
