Antibiotics are only prescribed for Bacterial Infections, Your GP or Specialist will need to be positive that these medications are really needed
The sore throat and chest infection can be caused by the way they introduced the anesthetic and can take several days or so to calm down.
You need to talk with the Specialist or your GP they need to decide on a way forward.
As you wait you could try throat lozenges or a bottle to ease the throat. A Chemist may be able to help with the best ones. Decongestants may clear the lungs and throat.
