Has anyone ever been in constant pain? I have. Well, I still do. It started in my knees and spread down to my ankles. Does anyone have an idea on what to do?

Just about everyone on this site is in constant, chronic, pain.

We are not Doctors so can't make a diagnosis ....have you been to your own GP?

I would go see your GP and get it looked at. I am in constant pain have Osteoarthritis in my hips and knees the pain from the knees is going to my ankles now. Also have it in my thumbs had surgery yesterday on right hand for OA. Any pain that has lasted should be checked out by your GP it may be something simple that can be easily sorted but always best to get checked.

See a massage therapist. Over contracted muscles will cause pain. Yo might want to see a chiropractor to check for pressure on nerve roots. You do need to see a doctor. Different specialists look at different things.

If you have been doing lots of exercise it could be muscles are complaining. The truth is there are many things that could cause pain.

Research your condition via the library and internet. Find a knowledgable doctor and a pain management course. Get your case reviewed in detail.

If you don't know what your condition is you can only look up symptoms. That can be difficult if not dangerous..

At least it’s a start. There are some excellent sites on the web. I would start with chronic pain syndrome.

Most of us on this website are in constant pain for a number of different reasons. However, unless one of us is a qualified GP we can't diagnose you. From an ex-nurse's perspective, it sounds like osteoarthritis in your knees. However there are a number of things it could be so you need to see your GP. Good luck! X

I would definitely see your GP if you haven't already. S/he'll be able to refer you to a consultant who should be able to tell you what it is. Take care
