I broke my wrist exactly 2 months ago, been to the doctor a couple of times and they say it not broken, 2 months later it still hurts, at the begging thought it was just a sprain and i know they can take a while to heal, but if it was a sprain it wasnt very bad and didnt get very swollen, so i dont think it would take this long to heal, last year i broke my bone on the same wrist and it tooke 1 month and a half to heal, anyone know why my wrist could still hurt?
thnx,
Jai.

Strains and sprains can take up to 6 months to heal. I strained and sprained my ankle when I fractured it recently - the bone's healed very well but I'm still waiting on the ligaments, tendons, and muscles to catch up.
Did your GP tell you to return if it doesn't improve? Are you doing any physiotherapy exercises?
Was it x-rayed ? I was told to restrain from exercise and allow the wrist to heal the tissue. I used a wrist support and a sports bandage (poundshops).
It got better, now it hurts only when its damp & cold weather. Spraying that heat treatment helped. Although you might be better to wrap it in a ice pack or go and buy a bag of frozen peas. I left mine in a carrier bag and wrapped the wrist when it was really painful. The ice numbs the pain.
