That sounds like referred pain. When we were moving from that handful of cells to a full foetus, our nerves had to grow along different pathways. Sometimes the brain thinks they are much further up than they really are, and we feel pain in a part of the body where the pain isn't actually happen.
I first had this after a lap and dye for fertility investigation. I was warned that I might have some pain in my shoulder, not because they dropped me on the floor or anything, but because sometimes the pain from the pelvis is felt in the shoulder.
And yes, I did! And now I sometimes have a pain in my shoulder when I am constipated and straining to go.
See a chiropractor. When you hold your urine you can have particular posture positions. This can in turn apply pressure on a nerve root in the neck, particularly is there is something untoward in the neck.
Chiropractor first. Then take their opinion to a doctor. It could be nothing, or it could be something that the medical profession has to take action on. (ie potentially serious.)
