Are you on 30/500 strength?

It consists of a mixture of paracetamol plus codeine phosphate (a member of the class of drugs called opioid analgesics). In general, co-codamol is used as required to relieve mild-to-moderate pain.

Prescription only drugs and no more than 8 in any 24 hr period.

Thats quite a low dose but usually GP start low and can increase. Take up to the max of 8 per day and give it a while to kick in. If still in pain go back to your GP.

Paton is your second name? Oh dear mine is made up from Pat and first 2 letters of my surname!!

Give your medication time to get into your system and to start working.

Celtic27 I used these tablets for many years. I found them to bring about more pain and spasms .. I was on a high doseage of 40/500 .. I was in the end addicted to the dihydrocoedine that is used in them which is much stronger than coedine ..... Co-dydramol (BAN) is a non-proprietary name used to denote a particular compound analgesic, a combination of dihydrocodeine tartrate and paracetamol. Co-dydramol tablets are used for the relief of moderate pain. I no longer am addicted I am pleased to say :)

Hi Celtic, I fractured 2 disc in my back after getting shocked my my patient implanted defibrillator device.. I know nothing about bones, muscles except in nursing school but I'll never forget it just blew my mind that my left thigh was hurting so bad, went to the ER and it took then about 2 weeks to find I had fractured disc.. that was several years ago and it retired me.... even now I've got another case of sciatica, left leg pain mainly... the biggest mistake I made was to agree to have back surgery, hopes this helps
