Cutting back tablets

Hi everyone. .... I would like to stop taking oxynorm & just take tramadol has anyone cut back slowly with success. Any advice appreciated

Take advise before coming of Oxynorm from your GP. I may take some time to reduce the dose and be clear.

Thank you for replying & a great relief to know as I was getting worried regarding 5mg capsules..,,, did you do it & how long did it take sorry for all the questions but I I'mformation is so helpful ......is it swallowed or injected by my GG / nurse or myself once agai gets thank you

Sounds about what I could do I've been on it for over 2years thanks again guys for reassurance & yes I'm determined I'm on a monument of medication for kidney failure heart valves etc but this I think is not doing what it should unless I take extran,so that's why I'm doing it. Once again thanks have a nice evening

Good advice on gradual withdrawal given you by community also what will help withdrawal will be a combination of naprosyn and piriton these will help with the itch ,just reduce gradually keep a note of how much and do it slowly if you can.

drink plenty of water to flush you out as well hot bath is helpful if you get nerve pain and or itch keep warm .

The most likely places that you will feel withdrawal are elbows to fingers and Knees to toes keep these extra warm and stretch and move as much as possible .

No idea how more confident I am feeling with all the I'mformation you have been giving ,in fact several of the group have been great. I have ckd stage 3 but has stayed same over ladt 6 months... Seeing the cardiologist this morning so fingers crossed.

I'm on 40 mg daily so I assume it will take longer I thought I could cut out 5mg weekly ,but with my heart condition etc would it to stressful or put me under more stress than needed ,would appreviate your opinion on this

It's 23 which is up fron 19 am please about that ,but these new tabs increased for my heart such headaches but hey hi if they do the trick I'm having doubts about cutting back anymore oxynorm !! But thanks for your help

Saw the kidney specialist 2weeks agog& she is in complete agreement with me but & a big but I'm hesitant to go down anymore simple because of withdrawel & the stress hope your keeping OK once again thank you
