Zomorph: Hi I'm new to the site but I thought I... - Pain Concern
Zomorph
Do you mean what to expect with possible withdrawal ?? If you havent taken any since wednesday, then you have probably escaped any withdrawal symptoms. Its a relatively low dose and you haven't been on it for long, so any withdrawal issues would probably have been relatively mild anyway.
If you are asking what to expect pain-wise, then it will be whatever the reason you were put on them in the first place will probably return, unless it was only to be used for the short-term - maybe after surgery or similar
Hi jaffa7
Thanks for replying yes it was a question about withdrawal symptoms sorry I didn't make myself very clear. I felt very low yesterday and no sleep last night and felt very sick this morning but that's past. My doctor gave me temgesic tablets I've had them before but they were only taking a little of the pain of so she decided to give me Zomorph. I've been horrible on them I couldn't cope with them.
Thanks Dan I'm on my 4 th day without it I have had terrible stomach pains all night I can't wait to be free from it I wished I'd never taken that 1st dose. I'm not very good with medication x
Hi Dan thanks for your reply I saw my doctor on Wednesday she took me of the zomorph and gave me temgesic 200 they dissolve under your tongue I have been on them before I haven't started on them yet I want to get these out of my system first xx
Hi, just thought you might like to know that Zomorph and Temgesic are both part of the opiate family and are therefore addictive if used over certain time, varying from one person to another I would say after using them for at the very least 1 month on a daily basis. Withdrawals won't be obvious until you've been without for approx 48 hours. Withdrawal symptoms can be nausea, tummy cramps, diarrhoea, restless legs and quite often arms, sleeplessness and so on. It's best to take opiates only when you really need them, 3 days on them, 2 or 3 days with an alternative pain killer like tramadol, this is a synthetic opiate that works on the pain like opioids, however, tramadol are not addictive. I wish you well and hope you find some relief from your pain. Best wishes
