My husband has terminal prostate cancer he takes Zomorph together with a slow release morphine capsule twice a day...He limits himself with it because it can make you very sleepy...it does, however, take away the additional pain he's in now if he's exerted himself a bit too much...treat it with respect because you can become addicted to it...I hope it helps you...being in severe pain affects every part of your body and mental state so getting relief is very important. All the best to you...
Its not the same for everyone. I am now on 30mg twick a day and i am trying to gradually reduce the dosage as i would like to comeoff of them altogether as i feel i cannot remember things get confused feel very sleepy. I do have the Buprenorphine paych and Oramorph which i think i will stick with, so i wish you luck with whatever you think is best for you. Eve

hi buma, oromorph from what I gather is morphine based but not as strong yI take zomorph tablets 40mg twice a day with high dose paracetomol and ibuprofen I take the oromorph inbetween if the pain is too much hope it helps answer your question.
Hi, I have been on SR Zomorph for over 2 years, started on low dose now on 70mgs twice a day plus oramorph for break through pain, in the beginning yes I was sleepy, but now I cope well on it, some meds suit some people some don't, I think all we can do is try different drugs, different doses until we get something that helps and suits us, trail and error .I am lucky to have a GP who worked in a pain clinic before and between us we usually manage to find something that suits me. I hope you find something that gives you some relief, gentle hugs
