Unfortunately, it varies from person to person. I found mine lasted about 2 weeks when I had a constant headache and then the pain slowly subsided over a period of another couple of weeks. Hope this helps.

Its never a good idea to go cold turkey off strong pain meds as it can knock your body in other ways too, but if you have done it now, I hope it doesn't last too long for you. When I have had to suddenly stop, it seems to take two days for the worst, and another couple of days before I feel OK, but I think it can be quite variable.

hi thanks for your concern, it was my daughter that had to come off them, and we did it very slow, so she was down to 1/2 dose a day months ago, then once every other day etc. She's been completely off for a week and can't stand the pain.

A month is what I was told and what happened to me. Very best of luck

I was on pain meds for about 12 years and when I started getting rebound headaches my neurologist told me I would have to stop taking them and said it would be 6 months to a year before the headaches subsided. My never really went away, but I did stop getting the migraines after a while.

fortunately my daughter has not been on these so long, so hopefully she won't have to go through what you went through, I hope you have some pain relief now

Thank you for your thoughts. Hopefully your daughter will have a much shorter wait time for the headaches to stop. I'm prone to headaches so it's probably why it would take me so much longer. I have no pain relief for what I was taking the meds for, Interstitial Cystitis, so it's been a real struggle to find something else that works. Good luck to you! Best...
