Who can give me advice...right started 7 year ago..had leg pains ..then feet..then back went..08 told I've 3 level denartive disc deasese..

65 year old..any way lots physio .tens m..lot different meds..even had a big needle in my side with camera on..2011 had 5 hour operation.. left with unbearable leg pain..move forward ended up on very strong meds..last year started to feel in well..my middle back hurt..my wrists hurt..my neck hurt.had scan told my bottom disc exploded and bits on my s1 nerve..only thing is to operations.. more..very pain full..my question...is has any one woke up same elbow pain neck pain. Feet pain worse..shooting pains in my elbows..shoulders sore...knew what's up with lower back ..but rest of me???someone please help have 3 kids....worried...docs are no help at all...begging at this point ..even having dowts on a 2nd op...knew will be 3rd xxxplease

PS..am38...not 65.....told 7 year ago had spine of 65 year old...despret at this point in my life no one would believe what's gone wrong with my life last yearxxxxx any advice will be really thankfull

Hello

You seem to be in a bit of a state, what is the diagnosis. they have come up with? Also what is your pain medications ?? With your problems I would imagine a PAIN CLINIC would be contacted, if so what did they suggest ?? this could be Somatisation Disorder, ..

Your problems seem to extensive, and I feel there is more here that meets the eye, under those circumstances your GP needs to facilitate treatments,that may include a fusion, although all of what you have would not suffer non corresponding areas

Hi Bob thanks for replying..meds just gone up40mg morpine every 2 hour if needed.really when say this doctors don't care...its just here's some more meds..hope something goes well xx

I was thinking about this and it may be crps (Complex Regional Pain syndrome ) The condition can be started from hurting some part of the body. say spine or other and you can become sensitised to pain. Treatment generally Pysio,, NSIDs Pain medications etc

I am not a doctor or specialist, so you need to discuss you condition fully.

Hello..thanks..yeh did start with back..well down legs...which was my discs..then knee..wrist ..pain..shoulder stated..getting a lot of granding noises???been pain clinic 2 times..first time told l was on strongest meds could be so nothing was done...2nd time which was just before my last scan..I said about my middle back an neck..oh and dizzyness..he told me just from my old pain..original pain...well month later told ....on going simptons L5s1 and leftL45 disceectomies...since last scan there's been a left L4(5 laminotmy with enhacing post surgical around left L5 nerve in to lattearl recess..at L5s1 there's a right laminotamy and a recrrunt disc extrution. Or question oblilitating the recess and compressing the trav erasing s1 nerve..that's what it says on my letter....????xx

You will have to start looking at Alexander Technique, Chiropractors, T'ai Chi and Yoga Teachers. Buddhist Meditation and Mindfulness will also be helpful. Buddhist meditation will help you not make the pain worse than it is. It is very easy to increase the amount of pain you actually experience. Just as it is easy with the right help from a Buddhist monk to develop strategies to lose the emotional attachment to pain which makes it worse than it need be.

Thank you ..ehther..07 started date work..but started with leg and knee pain...then back stopped me in my tracks they tried everything..I saw 4-5 different spine care docs..all told me something different..was on codein tips meds at time had a op2011...ended up worse .worse leg pain worse back..put on mopine..had to go back to work..carer..any way last June started to feel unwell..middle my back was sore has well has strange sharp pains in my elbows..few week later couldn't sit..was refurd to Newcastle..they sent me for a MRI scan. .told me my bottom disc has pushed forwar sitting on my tail bone..and has executed out .bits.sitting on my s1nurve.???he all so said I've a lot of arthertis..sorry can't spell.oh and bad scar damage from last op..and only thing to do is to operations.. I knew in 08 told I've 3 level disc deasese... really tried everything..the pain from middleback aall so is now in my neck..my wrists are very pain full too..no don't sit a lot have 2 autistic children as well has little girl..all so look after grandparents in their 90s ..help.xxxx

Thank you for your reply..I did end up in hosptail for a week..with phymiona.... year after my last op..now getting all these simptons going on..no one told me why my bottom disc did this..doctors don't care..can't stand in same place for long or it hurts bad...have to sleep only on my back...just want off all these meds..thanks for all advice going to look at web site now xx

Thank you ether 64..really..I.we have a new balance factory just along road..but of course will look to.forward and find out were I can see a pedorthotic..if any were I live..funny you say about my feet..I go though loads of shoes boots..and my other half always says about the bottom of my shoes the way they give my into the middle if knew what I mean..last summer I had the worst feet pain..could hardly walk on my feet..that's when the middle of my back started to hurt..not too bad..now right up till my shoulders..of course then my bottom back stared to get worse too..now I am suffering. ..like say all pain clinics ,docs, seem to fobb me off with more pain meds...not what I want...I love walking..really..best thing I done last year was get a dog..so he pushes me to walk..even when in real bad pain...I hope can find someone ...looking up web pages you've put up now..mean this thanks so much..will be in touch...xxxkind regards

Ether 64..oh my god!!!I haven't even read rest of your e mail..I've already got hammer toes been like that since I can remember..getting worse as years go on..about 9 year ago l had a operations on them..they only broke one has at time had 3 young babies..rest they cut something under my toes..have hallways had like spasms in my feet ..so do you think I've had something going wrong since I was a teen ???..!!?reading rest of your text now..ghoss how do you knew all this..xxxx

Ether64..also all them years ago..the feet sepeclists told my doctor to put me in touch with those guys who knew all about feet..never did...so since I was around say10..11..I've had hammer toes..been doctors over years about them and they knew has I got older..now38..would of got worse..have I just got doctors my end that don't care.?or haven't a clue..going to try them feet exercise so now..or is it too late for me now xx

Hi ether64..I live in Cumbria.england.near lakedistick..has a child..didn't have carrying parents that's another story.. I was mad to walk miles..from young age can remember crying at night with leg pain..when got near my teen age life was made to walk from rhu to helensburgh to buy my mother fags..was a 20 mile at least walk..my children haven't complained yet..with any simptons..well my 18(nearly) year old gets odd bad back..when been on a moving job..need to find someone in my area to help..and check my kids feet....swimming is bad I get awfully spas am so in my toes..its awfully..I've started doing the feet exercise so you gave me..I am so thank full you answered my message..I really don't want to have a 2 and or their operation. knew it will come..even doctors don't seem to care..cuts in hens are no good..I've 2 autistic boys who are full on..very sore today in my hips..upper back..legs..had good walk..well hour..push though it..want my life to get back on track need to get back in too a full time job..just to sore...god bless you for having time for me

Can only offer my condolences of your suffering, try and remember that trying to relax can help a bit as stressing out makes the pains worse, and these pain meds do have terrible psychological side affects ,so if you can try and move as to shift position that can allow you to try to do breathing exercises, to allow you to think clearly, (I know it's hard to think when the pain takes hold) but hopefully you can find a less painful position to allow you to de-stress a little as you sound stressed out and that never helps, best wishes louiseamos
