After waiting weeks for my Look good Feel Better session I wasn't able to go. Had my last chemo on Friday and felt sure I'd make it. The taxol was omitted due to pins and needles to hands and feet so felt sure I'd be fine with only having carboplatin!!!! How optimistic was that?
Have rearranged for Nov 20th when I should be in better form. I was really looking forward to a bit of pampering or at least some good advice on applying makeup.
Well you've got something to look forward to... and you got time to plan an evening out ...so your glam look wouldn't go to waste...great photo by the way (very glam) best wishes and love x G x
Sorry you missed your Look Good Feel Better workshop today hopefully you will feel well enough for the next one. I couldn't do mine whilst I was having chemo as I never felt up to it, but did mine last month and really enjoyed it. It was fun and good to get together with other ladies, so definitely something to look forward to. You get lots of really nice good quality cosmetics and shown how to apply them, so its all good.
I'm sorry you missed the pampering day but better to postpone until the side-effects of chemotherapy have worn off so you can enjoy the day to the full.
I'm rubbish at make-up but it does make a difference. I was passing a famous brand make-up counter in John Lewis and as my feet were aching and the seat was empty I decided to give it a go. The lady spent about 20 minutes giving me a make-over and I was really pleased with the advice. I need a whole day at this pampering malarkey. x
Sorry you didn't make it. I never managed to make it either as I was either feeling sick from the chemo, or my discoid lupus rash was so troublesome, I didn't want to experiement. Now I look and feel (and indeed I am) so healthy that I'd feel a fraud.
However, you can get to it on line and there are some useful tips re eyebrows, etc. Hope you are able to make it in person, but in the meantime, here's the link below. for a taster.
