2nd recurrence

hi wondering if any one here is or had a second recurrence. I was diagnosed November 22, fully debunked with extras such as appendix and non reversible colostomy in January 23, 6 rounds of usual chemo April to June 23. Then started niraparib in August 23 until may 24 as ca125 had shot up to 7413 and ct scan found significant peritoneal carcinoma.

Niraparib stopped and had 6 months of weekly carboplatin until November 24. My ca125 was 20 in January of this year and last week gone up to 189. Told to expect more chemo around may/june time again and currently on watch and wait…..

would be interested to hear what others have had for 3rd line treatment please

Sounds similar treatment wise to my mum. She has carbo and caelyx (spelling!) for her 2nd lot of chemo. Then carbo and gem.

I’m on my 2nd reoccurrence. Diagnosed May 2020, had 5 carbo/taxol, then debaulking surgery followed by 3 more carbo/taxol. Reoccurrence in in 2022 in pelvic lymph nodes and had 2nd surgery.

3rd reoccurrence in lymph nodes near trachea, watched and waited for several months as no symptoms but Oncologist said I will be starting Caelyx (& Carbo I think) very soon. Find out date next Wednesday with my latest results. Last CA125 was 300+.

I have primary peritoneal /ovarian cancer. (Autumn 2021).

I have had carbo/taxol/ avastin, debulking surgery, avastin alone(which didn’t work) Then a PET scan which showed spread to my lymph nodes. Followed by carbo/caelyx which worked well! So then a year on Niraparib until it stopped working followed by carbo/gem. Although I now have lesions on my liver my CA125 has remained relatively stable so I am currently on ‘watch and wait’. Hi. I’m on my third recurrence. Had the usual frontline, then carbo caelyx (followed by three years of Olaparib), then carbo alone and now Elahere. Best wishes to you in your next treatment.

Angie, my dates are almost exactly the same as yours. Due to go back for line 3 in June but thankfully only recurring in same places, no further spread so far. I have an appointment on April 1st to find out what treatment and what next.

A family friend has switched to immunotherapy but not sure if that was coz she became platinum resistant, anyway,vinkniw she couldn't have more chemo. I'm assuming they won't use that until chemo options are exhausted.
