My partner and I (both 31) had been trying to conceive for 13 months with no luck. Went to GP a couple of months ago to start investigations into fertility. I had an ultrasound which showed a 6cm complex cyst on my ovary. They have referred me to gynaecology urgently.I did a pregnancy test yesterday as I've had mild symptoms for the past week or two, but not really thinking it would be positive but it was! Confirmed with several tests.
I want to be excited but I'm worried that either it is a false positive as I know some types of ovarian cysts/ ovarian cancer can cause false positive pregnancy tests due to rise in hCG.
Or if I am pregnant, I still have the ovarian cyst which the GP seemed concerned about so I'm not sure what that would mean for treatment etc.
Just wondered if anyone has had any similar experiences?
Thanks in advance
