hi . Has anyone had Gemiciabine? I’ve been using a cold cap — but do you get hair loss with gemcitabine ?

I didn’t lose hair when I was on carboplatin with gemcitabine. I don’t think a cold cap is necessary but your oncologist should be able to advise- or maybe ring Ovacome.

I had gemcitibine and carboplatin - some thinning of hair but that's more likely the carboplatin, which I've had before and does cause thinning. No major hair loss, no cold cap either..

I had gemcitabine with Avastin, and no hair loss.
