Hey all,
I was trying to figure out how to add a pic to the hair loss conversation from earlier but all I could manage is to create another post!!! This is 7 weeks post chemo! It's not a lot of hair but it's there!!!

Hey all,

Ooh, mine looks exactly like that! Last chemo was March 10th. I also got random light fuzzy hair on my face and neck - fortunately it's very pale. It's a slow business, the hair growth - I'm hoping it will be ready for a reveal by July. Eyebrows are just about all back, though.
I thought I'd share my hair loss story. My partner was away on business and as the hotel charged such high prices he thought it a given that he should take all of the toiletries etc supplied. He arrived at my house with a big grin on his face saying he had some lovely toiletries just right for taking into hospital. He then ceremoniously produced each item with a flourish announcing them as if they were the crown jewels.....Shampoo, body wash, Conditioner, Toothbrush, SHOWER CAP!!!! I nearly collapsed with laughter. Had he not noticed I have been bald for two months. The poor man was mortified and hadn't realised what he had done. Men really are from another planet.
Bless him. I am totally bald too but the other day found myself standing in the shower wearing a shower cap. Chemo brain rules ...
D
My hairs exactly like yours and I've still got my last chemo to go (tomorrow woohoo). I've no idea what's going on but it keeps growing. Grey fuzz buts it's getting darker by the day. I do a fab impression of eagle eye action man 😂😂😂😂😂
They reduced my taxol by 10% due to the neuropathy so I'm assuming that effected my hair too.
Hope you are well and have transitioned back into "normal" life well.
Take care

Hey Michelle!
Hope all went well with the last Chemo! I must admit I found that day very emotional but in a good way!!! Hope your not feeling too grotty!
Onwards and Upwards!!

It didn't happen 😔. My bloods were low. However they have been low before and they come back on chemo morning but this time I've been bumped until Monday. There were 2 public holidays here on Monday & Tuesday last week so I got moved because of lack of space, the nurse admitted. Trying to squeeze 5 chemo days into 3!!!!!
Anyway it worked out my folks are over visiting so I've been able to spend all their time here "well".
Fingers crossed for Monday 🙏
I've been thinking about my hair. I reckon my pre chemo fasting might have an impact on my hair growth.

Congrats!!! My last chemo was jan13th and my hair started coming back like that. Now I have a full head of hair that's about 1 inch.
Thanks, It's very even growth and not fuzzy but it looks from one of your replies it's about six months to get to an inch. If I want to go swimming in the sea this year, probably Gozo, I'll better research some swimming caps.
PS Have you noticed how men can go anywhere with bald heads and it doesn't look at all strange? I wonder why?
Aww bless you.. it's coming back!! Probably a bit too soon to see it it's growing back curly/curliesr as this seems to be the norm! Keep sending updates on hair growth.. I'm definitely interested 😊
Big hug Michelle xx
Oh it's great when you see the growth! I have pictures of mine growing back at 7 weeks also, looks just like that!
Ah I remember that stage. It felt like baby hair. One morning I woke with a quiff and was so excited! Pity they don't make those baby bands with bows for us 😉. Then the curls came (never had them before) now 18 months after last chemo it is back to normal and I even have to go to hairdresser again.
I have naturally curly hair and so of course my wigs are straight. So I am keeping my fingers crossed my new hair will grow straight since you straight haired ones seem to get curly hair. I will find out in about six months I guess.....
Mine looks just like your pic Dee and I am a week behind you on the chemo! 6 months to get an inch of proper hair sounds like a long time to me, surely hair grows quicker than that? Ah well, another aspect of the waiting game I suppose.
hi D you have got hair, as harpist says, you will also find downy hair on your face which is very annoying but can be dealt with. Your hair is on the way back it will take a while. In the meantime, massage the scalp well when washing and do start using conditioner as well. Onwards and upwards
It looks fantastic. How r the eyebrows?.
Eyebrows even better growing out all over the place reckon will have to go and get them tamed sometime soon!!!
Hope all good with you!!

Looking good! Yours is growing back much faster than mine did. I wasn't ready to go without the scarf/hat/wig for three months post chemo. Best wishes to you! Judy
Quite apart from the hair, I'm so envious of your lovely shaped head! I only realised how many different shapes there are when this all happened. I previously had lovely thick hair so didn't know until it all fell out that I am a back-head flat- head! That must be why those lovely short bobs elegantly shaped into the nape of the neck never worked for me! Anyway, now I'm just glad to have hair again. The cold cap was my best friend last time and I lost hardly a strand. First time though my normally straight hair came back curly as a corkscrew but the more it grew the straighter it got and now it's just as it was. Bizarrely I now sport long thick eyelashes for the first time in my life - where were they when I was 16??

Love the photo. My hair has started to grow back too. I used to dye it but think I'll stick with its natural color which is absolutely white. Longing to have eyebrows and eyelashes again 😊Take care.
