My wife Suzanne is facing her third recurrence after five good years on olaparib. She is BRCA2 positive but, after five years of CA125 results in single figures, her reading has risen successively to over 90 in the last few months.
Was wondering if anyone has had a liquid biopsy for ovarian cancer and, if so, whether it was helpful in determining the best treatment options?

Hello and sorry to hear of Suzanne’s recurrence. I haven’t heard of a liquid biopsy but hopefully another forum member can advise.
I recently had a recurrence after 5 years and had a laparoscopy to check the extent of it, it was under general anaesthetic and a relatively simple process. Two weeks after that a second debulking surgery which went well. I hope Suzanne is able to have a treatment plan soon and sending best wishes to you both,
I’m sorry, I have no experience of this, however, I’m sure that the Ovacome helpline staff would be able to give you some up to date information. Their number is on the Ovacome website. I hope you can get some more advice on there.
