Hi Everyone,I am writing on behalf of my mum, aged 61. She appears to be a 'wild type' HGSOC stage 4. Diagnosed Feb 2021. Surgery wasn't an option due to poor response to front line carbo/ taxol... (2nd opinion by Dr Fotopoulou).
It kept the disease stable but no improvement. CA125 stayed around 400-500. She had her last carbo/ taxol end of August and ct showed disease 'stable'. Her last CT has shown progression (CA125 OVER 900) and now is having a permanent chest drain fitted due to plueral effusions (A & E a few days ago)
Next step is hopefully weekly taxol adding in avastin after 3 weeks.
Just really looking to know has anyone had similar experience and weekly taxol / avastin has helped/ slowed things down???
Thank you xxx
