Afternoon all, bit of an update on my Mum since my last post yesterday. She has been into The Christie today and told she has some cancer on the lining of her bowel. So MDT meeting next week. Ive no idea what to expect from that, more surgery, chemo?
I feel floored and can’t imagine how my mum is feeling either. This time last week we were celebrating her clear pelvic MRI scan. She’s put loads of weight on, looks incredible.. Can’t believe we’re here…. Trying to stay positive and hope there are options to help rid it / manage it. If anyone has had a similar experience I’d love to hear from you. Sending love, Laura. Janet’s daughter xx

Oh that’s rubbish… just when you thought things were going well. I don’t know what they will do but there are treatments which can be used for remaining disease. A friend had a specific type of radiotherapy that is very targeted… try to stay positive, I know it’s particularly hard when you have been up and suddenly you are knocked down xx
Thanks Lyndy, and yes I will try to stay positive as I can. Good to know that your friend had radio, I will mention this when she has her appointment if it isn’t mentioned to her. Hope you’re keeping well. Thanks for always being supportive on here.. means a lot. Xx
I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know what they'll do on this occasion but my tumour had entwined itself and stuck all through my bowel. They removed all the cancer but I had a lot of bowel damage. It works okay now with the help of a lot of laxatives. Fingers crossed your mums will be sorted out easily. I wonder why they didn't spot it at the time? Or has it developed since her original surgery? Best of luck. Zena xx
