That’s sooo low! Even with the uptick ( almost certainly related to your fever) . Please put this out of your mind and concentrate on enjoying yourself ❤️

Thanks a lot for your reply and support…you know when your life somehow depends on these indicators you can easily get upset with even a slight increase…the nightmare of a reoccurrence is always in my mind…

It’s more than likely because you have a cold, any infection or inflammation can raise our CA125 levels. Yours is really low, it’s a continuous raising of the numbers that generally gives cause concern so I’d certainly not worry if I was you. Hope you feel better soon ❤️Xx Jane

Thanks a lot for your reply!!!I am on olaparib 15 months now and so far this the highest ca125 I had since my last reoccurrence that’s why I am afraid….i cross my fingers that it’s because of the flu I had or the antibiotics I took for ten days and I had the blood test the last day of my antibiotics…anyone else related???

I had a sinus infection which bumped mine up a bit. It is the infection that caused it. Do not worry about upticks unless your number doubles.

now I have to take my own advice...it went up a point. I had so hoped it would go down. This is one of our battles. We all worry about that uptick! Maybe I'm still fighting the infection, who knows.

How much is your ca125 now?…and how much was before the infection?

It went from 15 to 16. Nurse said you could get the test done today and it would be lower. But, as always, when this is our battle we want better answers.

Just finished chemo 12/1. Petscan this week was clear! ( so why do I fuss about CA125 count?!!) Start Lynparza after Christmas. Any suggestions about how to deal with it?

Minimum side effects-diarrhea sometimes and upset stomach once in a while-iron deficiency due to the drug…these from me!wish you Merry Christmas-health and happiness into your life…nice talking to you

That's such a small rise as to be insignificant. Don't worry about it! My CA125 has varied from as low as 4 to as high as 15 in the 15 years since I completed treatment. No doctor has ever showed the slightest worry about it going up a couple of points.

Thanks a lot for your reply…the think is that I am on olaparib 15 months now after my last reoccurrence and s far it was below 4 and now that I saw the 5,9 I am extremely terrified-unfortunately
